Long time, no post

Ok, I never said this would be easy for me to keep up with... I have some news to share with your though. Cindy Echtinaw has 4 new stamp sets coming out. 3 of these stamp sets coordinate with several Spellbinders dies which should be fun! I'm posting pictures of them for you to see. The stamps will be in soon and can be ordered through StampingScrapping.

I can't wait to get my hands on these and play around with mixing stamps and the Spellbinder's dies! They will work with Fancy Tags, Tag Trio 2, Lables 2, 4, & 8. These will make it so much more fun to play with my tags!

Good night all...

Wow, well it can be a bit scary being the first but I've got a great card to showoff!
The images I used is from Best Witches. I've been trying to use up my stash, so the paper and card stock are things that I already had. I even found a whole set of Harvest ribbons which I came in handy!
I used the Octagon Nestibilities for the background and saying. The saying is from the Thankful set of stamps. I added a few punched leaves and bling to top off the card. Of course I have to use my Distress Inks on the saying! I can't live without them. Thanks for taking a look.

Blog Candy alert!!!! Not only will commenting on this blog enter you into the drawing for a set of stamps, but I will choose one additional person to win Blog Candy. I will use a random # generator to choose the winner. The Blog Candy will be packed full of Fall/Winter related items. Good luck!!!

I thought I would show off a few of the latest projects I have done. This first card was for the Scent My Cards challenge. I designed this Father's Day card. It was based on a sketch from Mojo Monday. Nothing special, I used Cosmo Cricket Wanted papers and Inque Boutique stamps plus a few brads.

This second project was playing around with my Spellbinders Nestabilities. The papers are from Little Yellow Bicycle's Love Letters collection. The flower is made from 4 scalloped circles cut in half and folded. I used a large round brad in the center covered with mesh and a large round acrylic piece.

The 3rd project is for a recent DT project for Stamping Scrapping. I used Cuttlebug embossing folder Just My Type on the edge. I then used Floral Screen to emboss the metal piece on top which was a recycled soda can. I painted the metal with Ranger alcohol inks using a paint brush. I cut it out using the Octagon Nestibilities and paired it with a complementary piece of card stock. I covered the card with light purple card stock, tied a ribbon and layered the Octagon pieces. Final step was to stamp the greeting. Hope you enjoy!

Newest DT project

Well, I am finally getting around to posting my entry for the Stamping Scrapping DT challenge. This project was inspired by my Scraponomics class (recycling everyday 'trash') at The Stamping and Scrapbooking Room. I was to use a set of the octagon Nestabilities from Spellbinders that I needed to incorporate into my project. So, in combining the 2, I came up with this friendship album.

This first picture is of the outside. This is a ribbon spool I took apart and recovered. The following pictures are of the album open. I used the Spellbinders octagons for the pages, layering them to create little pages with sayings. The artwork is from a Dover Publishing Clip Art book. I printed the designs & sayings on my paper then cut them out with the Nestibilities. I embellished with stickles, Copic Spica markers, and several kinds of flowers. To hinge the album together, I used lace trim which I dyed with Ranger Distress Ink. Hope you enjoy!

DT entry #1

Okay, so a lot of people wanted to see what my 1st entry was for design team at Stamping Scrapping. The theme was Valentines and we had to use things that Cindy @ Stamping Scrapping sells. The project had to contain 80% of items found on her site.
Well, I had just bought some more stamps from Outlines Rubber Stamps. I bought the layered heart which Cindy sells.
Here is what I did with that stamp:

But the heart was plain to me and I scoured around all my idea books and print outs and came across a box made using the Scor-Pal. It was perfect for my layered heart. So here is the finished box and heart ornament...

I used many products from Cindy's store and a few of my own.
