Long time, no post

Ok, I never said this would be easy for me to keep up with... I have some news to share with your though. Cindy Echtinaw has 4 new stamp sets coming out. 3 of these stamp sets coordinate with several Spellbinders dies which should be fun! I'm posting pictures of them for you to see. The stamps will be in soon and can be ordered through StampingScrapping.

I can't wait to get my hands on these and play around with mixing stamps and the Spellbinder's dies! They will work with Fancy Tags, Tag Trio 2, Lables 2, 4, & 8. These will make it so much more fun to play with my tags!

Good night all...

World Card Making Day

I can't believe it's been soooo long since I posted anything here... I have been a bit under the weather and working on class projects.

This is a card I made a while back, but thought I would share. I stamped it with a stamp from Outlines Rubber Stamps. It is stamped on 2 colored papers, cut and layered. I love working with these stamps! I am working on a few more, just don't have them finished yet...

Happy World Card Making Day!

Personal update

I haven't been crafting much lately. Normally I wouldn't put up a personal update, but felt that I needed to do so in case anyone follows this blog. I have Fibromyalgia and have been trying the newest medication approved for this condition. It's called Savella and is supposed to help those of us with Fibro. So far, I just feel more tired. I may have an interaction with 1 or 2 of my other meds which would leave me exhausted. Basically from what I understand, I would have a toxic combination and may have to quit this medication since I can't change pain medication. It's tough when you can't take NSAIDs. Also, it looks like my gastric bypass (2007) may be another problem. I have developed new complications and may have to have surgery again.
So, needless to say, I haven't been up to crafting much, although I am inspired to do so. I just don't have the energy to finish a lot.
I did recently enter an ornament contest through Creative Home Arts club. All the ornaments will be donated to Ronald McDonald Houses. I wish I had taken a picture of it, but maybe I'll get published in their magazine. Should I win even an honorable mention, I will share it here.
Well, that's about all for now. Hang in there while I work through some medical problems and hopefully get my groove back!
tootles!

Update

I haven't posted in a long time and I'm bad about that... What have I been up to since CHA? Well, I've been trying to come up with classes I can teach at The Stamping and Scrapbooking Room in Greensboro, NC.

I'm teaching a couple simple Christmas Card classes from Hero Arts. I will be teaching more Outlines Rubber Stamps this year. We are doing layered ornaments and the ornament toppers. I'm working on a Clear Scraps Mixables album as well.

I'll post pictures of these a little later...

CHA 2009 Day 1-Workshops

Today I had 2 workshops...
Clearly Capable with Sally Lynn MacDonald and Distress the holidays with Tim Holtz. Sally Lynn was a wealth of information on using the clear acrylic. I have learned a lot to take into my design of these albums and you will see more of them from me. I don't have pictures yet of the album that we did as I didn't have enough time to finish the way I want, so I will post those when I get home and can finish it more. We used Prima flowers, bling, paper & transparencies. We colored with Copic Markers on the transparencies and also used the air brush system on some of the pieces and to change the chipbord letters a little. Thanks Sally Lynn for such great info and I can't wait to begin to play!

In the Distress The Holidays class, Tim introduced us to the new Rock Candy Distress
Stickles and the new Distress Crackle Paint Rock Candy (this is a clear crackle). A difference between the new Crackle paint and Crackle Accents is the cracks are much smaller in the Distress Crackle. It is a very cool product and I can't wait to play with it on a lot of different surfaces including pictures! I have fallen more in love with Distress Stickles!

The pictures below show the front of the Grunge book we did with some close-ups of the Distress Stickles and Distress Crackle Paint. The very last picture is of all the goodies we got in the Ranger class.

Enjoy and check back tomorrow for more photos from CHA!
